The importance of the Reformation in western Civilization
Five centuries (1517 – 2017) since the posting of Luther’s Ninety-five Theses
Five hundred years ago, an unknown, timid Augustinian monk, incapable, up to that point, even to say his prayers in front of God, dared to raise his voice by posting his Ninety-five Theses and to go against almighty Rome. After that, nothing would be the same in Europe. Today, the whole world reflects upon the work, the contribution, the message and the influence of Luther. The great reformer is barely known in Greece. These lectures aim to acquaint the public with his work and contribution to the shaping our world.
