Greek National Team Captain

Anastasios Bakasetas is the Captain of the Greek National Team in football (soccer) and a player of Turkish Champions, Trabzonspor.  

He was born in Nemea in 1993 and recorded his first professional appearance in the Greek Super League at the age of 16 as a player of Asteras Tripolis. He’s a member of the Greek National team from 2016 counting 55 caps and 11 goals.

Bakasetas has won three titles as a football (soccer) player. In 2018 he was one of the key figures of AEK FC winning the first championship since 1994. In 2022 he led Trabzonspor in winning the Super Lig title for the first time in 36 years and also the Super Cup title.

His successful year in Turkey was monitored in the awarded original documentary “Bordo Mavi” he co-produced with Stars Inc.11 agency.

For his achievements with Trabzonspor Bakasetas was voted as the Best Midfielder in the Turkish league and as the Best Greek Player playing abroad.
