iMEdD Co-founder and Managing Director, SNF Dialogues Executive Director, Journalist
Anna Kynthia Bousdoukou is the Co-founder and Managing Director of iMEdD (incubator for Media Education and Development), an international nonprofit journalism organization established in 2018 with the exclusive donation of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF). iMEdD focuses on promoting transparency and credibility, with cross-border synergies as its primary means of delivering its mission on a global scale.
Since 2016, Anna Kynthia has collaborated with SNF and other partners on international programs and grants related to journalism while serving as Executive Director of the SNF Dialogues Initiative, launched in 2017. The SNF Dialogues Initiative, which she curates and moderates, fosters the exchange of ideas and encourages open discussion, through a multimedia platform as well as public live discussions hosted online and offline across the world.
In 2020, she received the Giorgos Karayiannis Journalism and Technology Award for her contributions to iMEdD and SNF’s efforts to support high-quality journalism. In 2024, she became an SNF Ithaca and was invited to serve as a guest instructor for the seminar Topics in Public Policy: Media, Disinformation, and Democracy.
Previously, she presented the news and headed a morning television news program. She has also worked as a radio reporter and as a news editor and producer while writing for various publications.
She holds a degree in Sociology from Panteion University, specializing in the sociology of mass media.
