Nusrat Durrani is a pioneering media executive, media strategist and award-winning creative renowned for cutting edge work in television, film, digital and social media. He most recently founded and served as General Manager & Sr. Vice President at MTV World, Viacom Media Networks’ visionary global content incubator and innovation engine. He also created the acclaimed “Rebel Music” documentary series about young change agents fighting the status quo in turbulent countries and was honored by President Obama for his work spotlighting young Native American artists. Nusrat also conceived and executive produced “Madly”, an omnibus film about love featuring works by top-notch directors that was selected to open the 2016 Tribeca Film Festival and won Best Actress in its category. On a sabbatical to care for his mother in India who has Alzheimer’s, Nusrat is taking the opportunity to compassionately reconnect with ordinary people around the world and view the work of corporations through their perspective. His most recent talks, “Voices of the Voiceless”, “Love in a Time of Hate”, “Stories I Told My Mother”, and the latest, “Stories from the World/Stories from the Heartland”, which premiered at the Microsoft Storytelling Summit in May 2019, reflect his recent experiences and learnings on the road.
