Building Future Movements for Human Rights
Under the auspices of the SNF Nostos 2026, Amnesty International Greece will host a panel discussion exploring how we can build inclusive, resilient human rights movements for the future in a rapidly shifting political and technological landscape. As authoritarianism rises and societies become increasingly polarized, the structures that protect human rights and the movements that defend them must evolve.
In an era shaped by AI, digital transformation, disinformation, and shifting global power dynamics, civic participation and activism occur across both offline and online spaces. Human rights mobilization today is influenced not only by civil society and politics but also by technology, language, culture, art, journalism, and storytelling.
The discussion will bring together leading voices in these spaces to examine how intersectionality and solidarity can strengthen civic action and collective resistance. Together, speakers will reflect on emerging challenges and explore innovative strategies for movement-building, grounded in inclusion, participation, and shared accountability, so that future movements can better protect rights for all.
