Aspasia Serdari
Director of the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the University Hospital of Alexandroupolis
Professor Aspasia Serdari is a child psychiatrist and Director of the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the University Hospital of Alexandroupolis. She has extensive clinical experience in the assessment and treatment of neurodevelopmental and behavioral disorders, with a particular focus on social child psychiatry.
She holds teaching responsibilities at the Medical School of Democritus University of Thrace, as well as in the Departments of Primary Education and Early Childhood Education. She coordinates the Child Psychiatry section of the postgraduate MSc program Social Psychiatry and contributes to several other postgraduate programs at Democritus University and other Institutions in Greece.
She is a member of National Committees on Mental Health and serves on the Scientific Steering Committee of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF) and Child Mind Institute’s Child and Adolescent Mental Health Initiative in Greece, bridging clinical practice, policy, and research. Her research spans a broad spectrum of child psychiatry, including neurodevelopmental disorders, behavioral problems, and social dimensions of child mental health, with a significant body of published research in international journals and books.
