Effie Lazaridou

Effie has led the nonprofit organization New Agriculture New Generation since 2018.

The organization, created with a founding donation from the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF), has supported 33,000+ professionals and 250+ small, family-owned and start-up businesses, contributing to the development of numerous agrifood products and new collaborative schemes. It strengthens the overall transformation and sustainable development of the agrifood sector and the countryside, creates value for the Greek economy with a multiplier effect of x6.09, and receives national and international recognition.

Effie is experienced in marketing and branding strategy professional specializing in agrifood, culture, tourism, and has a track record of successfully completing projects of international and national importance. She writes articles and is a regular speaker at conferences. She was named NGO Manager of the Year 2024 in Greece and is a member of the General Assembly of ActionAid Greece.

She holds an integrated master’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, and postgraduate degrees in Cultural Management from City University London and Marketing from Chartered Institute of Marketing London and she is a certified flutist.
