Gerasimos Papanastasatos

Gerasimos D. Papanastassatos, PhD in Social Sciences, is a sociologist and criminologist. Since 1992, he has worked in the Research Department of KETHEA, which he has been responsible for running since 2000. Since 2025, when KETHEA joined the new National Organization for the Prevention and Treatment of Addictions (EOPAΕ), he has been Director of Research Support and Documentation. He has been involved in research on addictive behaviors since the late 1980s, designing and implementing research programs to evaluate treatment, prevention, and professional training programs. Due to his expertise in the field of psychoactive substance dependence, he has developed research programs to evaluate treatment, strategies, and drug policy at national and international level.
