Gonda A. H. Van Steen

Η Gonda Van Steen είναι κάτοχος της Έδρας Κοραή στη νεοελληνική και βυζαντινή ιστορία, γλώσσα και λογοτεχνία στο Κέντρο Ελληνικών Σπουδών και στο Τμήμα Κλασικών Σπουδών του King’s College στο Λονδίνο. Είναι συγγραφέας πολλών άρθρων και πέντε βιβλίων: Venom in Verse: Aristophanes in Modern Greece, Liberating Hellenism from the Ottoman Empire, Theatre of the Condemned: Classical Tragedy on Greek Prison Islands, Stage of Emergency: Theater and Public Performance under the Greek Military Dictatorship of 1967-1974, και Adoption, Memory, and Cold War Greece (2019).

Πρόσφατα η Gonda Van Steen επιμελήθηκε το The Battle for Bodies, Hearts and Minds in Postwar Greece: Social Worker Charles Schermerhorn in Thessaloniki, 1946-1951 και συνεπιμελήθηκε το The War for Anatolia and the Remaking of International Order: Greece, Turkey and the End of the First World War. Δημοσίευσε το θεατρικό έργο Adoption Reckonings: For Three Refrigerators and a Washing Machine (2025). Είναι συνυπεύθυνη της καμπάνιας Nostos for Greek Adoptees και Και έχει πετύχει σημαντικές νομικές μεταρρυθμίσεις υπέρ της υιοθεσίας παιδιών γεννημένων στην Ελλάδα.
