Stand-up comedian

Katerina Vrana is a Greek stand-up comedian performing in English and Greek worldwide. Her solo shows Feta with the Queen and About Sex sold out and received rave reviews in London, Athens, and at the Edinburgh and Melbourne festivals.

CNN named her one of the female comedians to watch, and in December 2016 she placed third in the Laugh Factory’s global competition, The Funniest Person in the World.

In April 2017, while on tour in Malaysia, she became critically ill and nearly died. She survived but with severe disabilities, and now mainly uses a wheelchair. She shared this story in her solo show Staying Alive (I Almost Died), which premiered in Athens in 2019 to huge success. Since then, she has completed sold-out European tours, appeared in theatre, delivered two TEDx talks, hosted the Hellenic Film Academy’s Iris Awards, and presented her fourth sold-out show, Derbedérissa. In 2025, she launched VRANARAMA, a comedy night with guest performers that became an unexpected hit. She now divides her time between performing and rehabilitation.
