Ioannis Bousdounis
Head of the Directorate of Special Education and Training, Ministry of Education, Religious Affairs and Sports
Ioannis Bousdounis is Head of the Directorate of Special Education and Training at the Ministry of Education, Religious Affairs and Sports, with extensive administrative, teaching, and research experience in inclusive education, educational policy, and ICT. He holds a Master’s degree in Educational Technology from the University of Nicosia, and is a graduate of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and the Pedagogical Academy of Rhodes. He has also completed further training in Special Education at the Marasleio Teacher Training College.
He has extensive experience in teacher training programs and has taught at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels in areas including learning difficulties, inclusive education, differentiated instruction, and interdisciplinary collaboration. In parallel, he has served as an expert for the Institute of Educational Policy and the Ministry of Education, contributing to the development of educational policies, the production of accessible educational material, and the digital upgrading of schools, while also participating in national research projects.
