Assistant Professor of Pediatrics–Pediatric Hematology and Oncology at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, 2nd Pediatric Department at AHEPA Hospital

Dr. Maria Kourti is Assistant Professor of Pediatrics–Pediatric Hematology and Oncology at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and a board-certified Pediatric Infectious Diseases specialist. She has extensive clinical experience in pediatric oncology and in the management of infections in immunocompromised children, having served in key roles in the Pediatric Oncology Department at Hippokration General Hospital and the 2nd Department of Pediatrics of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki at AHEPA University Hospital. Her research focuses on supportive care, pediatric infections, and molecular aspects of hematologic malignancies. She has authored over 80 publications indexed in PubMed and has presented widely at international conferences. Dr. Kourti is actively involved in major European and international scientific networks, including SIOP, SIOPE, EXPeRT, ESPID, and PENTA-ID. She serves as National Coordinator for the Greek Supportive Care Group, Board Member of the National Pediatric Hematology and Oncology Society, Secretary of the Hellenic Society for Social Pediatrics and Health Promotion, and member of the ESPID Committee for Sustainability.
