Nikolas (Niklas) Athanasopoulos

Nikolas Athanasopoulos (Niklas) (b. 1983, Piraeus, Greece) is a designer whose work investigates the convergence of digital fabrication and traditional craft. Employing 3D printing in clay alongside analog methods, his practice examines the liminal space between utilitarian design and sculptural expression. Central to his research is the agency of material processes, and how they complicate distinctions between art, craft, and design in contemporary culture.
