From playgrounds in South Bronx to the streets of Bulawayo, from figure skating in Harlem to the Special Olympics World Games in Turin, the power of sport is transcending borders.

The belief that sport is a powerful catalyst for personal and community progress has for decades inspired organizations and individuals around the globe to apply this paradigm to making a difference in young people’s lives. During the panel, we will explore the common roots as well as different paths that leading practitioners have chosen to amplify this power, with particular focus on the following thematic axes:

Access and equity: Breaking barriers to participation in sport

Sport as a platform for education and leadership: How sport can drive broader life outcomes

Mental health and wellbeing: The role of sport in building resilience and confidence

Scaling impact: How models can be expanded or replicated globally

Pioneers and next-generation leaders gather on one stage, with a firm belief that we can change the world through play and sport.
